Edward G. Brownlee Collection (1934-1946)Biographical-Background- -Edward Brownlee worked closely with Marion Brewington and other contemporaries in recording the vanishing maritime scene in the mid-Atlantic region. Around 1940, Brownlee drew many of the drawings that appear in Marion Brewington's Chesapeake Bay Loq Canoes and Buqeyes.Scope and ContentThis material falls into two types: plant that were drawn by Brownlee and photographs and papers that pertain to specific boats. Some of the photographs were taken by Brewington and given to Brownlee.
